Brandon Sanderson Surprises Fans with Second TTRPG Setting and Crowdfunding Campaign

A Year of Sanderson and Secret Novels

Prolific fantasy author Brandon Sanderson is back with another surprise for his fans: a second TTRPG setting and a crowdfunding campaign for four secret novels. In the spring of 2022, Sanderson asked his fans to help him raise $1 million to self-publish four fantasy books he wrote during the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign took the author community — and then the world — by storm, surpassing its goal by an astounding amount.

Surprise TTRPG Setting

As part of this latest crowdfunding campaign, Sanderson has announced the creation of a new TTRPG setting called "Elantris: The Roleplaying Game." Based on his popular novel of the same name, the game will explore the world of Elantris, a cursed city where the inhabitants have been transformed into beautiful but inanimate beings.

Crowdfunding for Secret Novels

In addition to the new TTRPG setting, Sanderson is also launching a crowdfunding campaign for "Surprise Four Secret Novels." Each of these four novels will be a complete story, set in different worlds and featuring different characters. Sanderson has promised that these novels will be of the same high quality as his previous works.

The crowdfunding campaign for "Surprise Four Secret Novels" is now live on Dragonsteel Entertainment's website. Fans who contribute to the campaign will receive exclusive rewards, including signed books, limited-edition merchandise, and access to exclusive content.
